Do You Care About Marine Life Like We Do?

FAQ

Mariners for Action (MFA) is a nonprofit organization founded to protect marine ecosystems and empower coastal communities through conservation, sustainability, and education initiatives.

MFA’s mission is to protect marine ecosystems, restore habitats, and promote sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities while fostering collaboration, education, and biodiversity conservation.

You can support MFA by donating, volunteering, participating in events, or spreading awareness about marine conservation and sustainability efforts.

MFA focuses on projects like Mangrove Restoration, Marine Waste Management, Ghost Gear Monitoring, and Sea Turtle Mortality and Stranding Monitoring to protect marine habitats and species.

MFA empowers coastal communities by promoting sustainable livelihoods, offering education on conservation practices, and involving them in initiatives like mangrove restoration and marine waste management.

You can get involved by volunteering for our projects, attending environmental awareness events, or becoming an advocate for marine conservation in your community.

Mangroves are crucial as they protect coastlines from erosion, provide habitats for marine species, and help in carbon sequestration, making them a key focus in MFA’s restoration projects.

MFA conducts weekly beach cleanups, plastic litter accumulation surveys, and advocates for responsible waste disposal practices to reduce plastic pollution in mangrove channels and coastal areas.
