On Sunday, March 16th, we proudly celebrated our community’s conservation achievements with a vibrant event at Robinson Island, Kinyaule Village. We were honored to host our valued partners from SEE Turtles, who have consistently supported our initiatives to combat plastic pollution on sea turtle nesting beaches.

The event kicked off with a successful cleanup exercise along a 2 km stretch of Kinyaule Beach, where we collected a total of 116 kg of plastic waste. Following the cleanup, we enjoyed cultural presentations by women’s mangrove conservation groups and other organizations involved in beach and home-based plastic waste aggregation.
As we aim to foster a culture of environmental stewardship through community sensitization, awareness, and economic empowerment programs, such as culturally immersive ecotourism initiatives, we appreciate SEE Turtles , Kenya Wildlife Service, Malindi , and all our partners for their unwavering support.
